42 Each of these cities has pastures surrounding it; this was true of all of the cities.

43 [a]Thus the Lord gave Israel the entire land that he had promised to give to their fathers. They took possession of it and dwelt there. 44 The Lord then gave them rest on every side, just as he had promised their fathers. Not one of their enemies could stand up to them. The Lord had delivered all of their enemies into their hands.
